These companies engineer solutions for more rapid and accurate diagnosis of illnesses, research substances to combat diseases considered incurable, develop products that protect the natural environment, and formulate plastics that make cars safer and more comfortable. They provide chemical components vital to a host of products made by other manufacturers. Bayer plays a part in improving the quality of life throughout the world.

Bayer Corporation’s Scientific Affairs department performed the arduous task of maintaining travel and entertainment budgets for their entire sales force. Expenses had to be linked to cost centers tied to a specific drug. Management and corporate reports were produced by merging various expense reports. Manual processes had become far too time consuming.

Summit Technologies worked closely with Bayer to devise and document a series of workflow processes and subsequently automate them utilizing Microsoft Excel, per the client's guidance to develope expense report templates.

Expense reporting is now automated, and it provides accurate, useful, and timely information. Bayer sales staff can submit expense reports to their managers in a standard format, and managers and corporate executives can produce aggregate summary reports.
