Foxwoods is the largest casino in the world, with 340,000 square feet of gaming space in a complex that covers 4.7 million square feet. More than 40,000 guests visit Foxwoods each day.

Foxwoods needed to replace their legacy desktop environment with over 2,200 new desktops operating on Microsoft XP Professional. Applications, local application data, and user settings needed to be preserved, transferred and configured into the new user environment. The work also had to be performed in a non-intrusive manner at this gaming facility.

Summit Technologies, in conjunction with HP, assembled a seasoned deployment team consisting of project managers, lead engineers, technicians, and logistic coordinators for this effort. A significant amount of work was staged prior to the final customer delivery to ensure a minimum of disruption to Foxwoods, as well as, a quick installation.

Foxwood's Windows XP deployment and migration was successfully completed in a six month timeframe with minimized client interruptions.
