Summit's team, as a sub-contractor, helped design and integrate an Imaging and Content Management solution for the DoD's Defense Healthcare Information Management Systems (HAIMS) agency. HAIMS will provide an Enterprise Content Management capability for managing non-computable parts of the medical record, such as EKGs, consent forms and discharge summaries. This web based solution for clinicians (DoD and VA healthcare providers) is designed to provide access to documents and images generated during the healthcare delivery process. Global delivery of these artifacts will be provided via multiple transmission modes, including satellite transmission to provide routine and critical care for ill or injured current or retired US military personnel, both in the medical care facilities and on the battlefield.

The Summit team deliverables include:

• Requirements analysis and generation integrating pre-existing Defense Healthcare Information Management System imaging projects.
• Creation and maintenance of development and integration testing lab.
• Requirements analysis and generation including tracking requirements from customer specifications through systems development and testing.
• Trade studies and research to identify the most balanced technical solutions among a set of proposed viable solutions for Content Management solutions.
• Engineering expertise with digital imaging, DICOM, HL7, web services, and service oriented architected (SOA).
