US CENSUS – FIELD DATA COLLECTION AUTOMATION (FDCA)

Summit is currently supporting the US Census on the 2010 Decennial Census FDCA program as a subcontractor to Harris Corporation. Summit is providing a team of technology professionals to design and manage systems in a multi-vendor environment that will streamline the upcoming Decennial Census field operations. The Census 2010 program will deploy more than 500 interconnected, temporary, local Census offices, and 12 regional Census offices. The Census project requires an enterprise-wide infrastructure design and development with nation-wide deployment that must meet the highest levels of security and extensive operational connectivity. Summit Technologies is participating in all aspects of this initiative and supporting meeting the demanding time-sensitive deadlines.

Summit is providing System Services and Subject Matter Expertise in the following areas:

• Implement Custom Mobile Computing Hardware and Applications that Enable Data Collection, GPS Address Verification, and Administrative Operations
• Developing and Deploying a Large, Nation-Wide, Reliable Office and Back Office Infrastructure; Geographically Prioritized Workforce Management and Operational Status Systems; and Automated Decision Workflow and Dissemination Systems
• Implementing Procedures, Protocols and Applications that Ensure Security of Confidential Census Data
• Implement Wireless and Wire Line Connectivity to all Census Offices and Field Enumerators
• Deploying, Operating and Maintaining all IT infrastructure
