This individual will be responsible for managing a large client site and supervising projects and operations.

Experience and Education

  • 10+ years in the IT industry with increasing responsibility and hands-on experience with network operating systems and/or relational databases in mission-critical environments (NOTE: Position requires proficiency with Novell 4.11 and Microsoft NT 4.0.)
  • Bachelors Degree, preferably in Computer Science or MIS
  • Management experience in a technical environment
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Managing and mentoring administrators and project personnel, assist in career planning
  • All aspects of staff management (motivation, leadership, hiring,
    disciplinary action, firing)
  • Supervise work activities for all engineers and manage the scope of the work efforts in writing proposal responses and impact analysis
  • Maintain and promote relationship with management personnel at client site and ensure high level of customer satisfaction
  • Act as liaison between the client's personnel and client's vendors
  • Participate in weekly program management status meetings, conduct weekly team administration meetings and coordinate monthly project team meetings
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to the client
  • Provide new engineering and standard related ideas for process improvement
  • Manage on-call support for all work activities; define and implement escalation responsibilities for 24x7 coverage
  • Review and comment on program management write-up and project plans
  • Project planning for transitioning client responsibilities to team
  • Review and approve weekly time reporting
  • Assist Project Director
  • Technical Director for continual process improvements as well as new technologies for the customer/client
