As a Summit employee, we want you to know you are important to our success and, your contribution matters. Your medical and/or dental coverage becomes effective 30 days to the first of the month following your date of hire.
Medical
As an hourly employee health benefits are available for you and your eligible family members. At this time, you have the option of selection a POS or PPO medical plans with low co-pays of $15 or $20 per visit. The selection of doctors offered through our health plan is vast. Dental
We currently offer a competitively low cost dental plan available to you and your eligible family members. If you would like additional information, please contact our HR department. Short and Long Term Care
If you become disabled and are unable to work, Summit provides Short and Long Term Disability. Short and Long Term Disability insurance helps protect you and your family against the often high costs for care in the event of disability. Coverage is offered to salaried employees only.
Life and Accident
Summit provides life insurance and accidental death to all salaried employees in an amount equal to one times their annual salary, capped at $50,000.
Savings and Retirement Benefits
Achieving your personal financial goals is an important part of your life. We at Summit are committed to help you reach your goals by providing you with the right wealth accumulation benefits — a 401(k) plan.
Summit offers you the immediate opportunity to save a percentage of your pay -- on a pretax basis. After meeting the one-year service requirement, we will match you $1 for $1 on the first 3%, thereafter, $.50 on the $1 for an additional 2%. You can invest your employee contributions among the various investment options offered in the plan. Taxes are deferred on your account while it remains invested in the plan. The 401(k) plan is offered to all salaried and hourly employees.
