Paul Patel is one of the original founders of Summit. Mr. Patel has an extensive background in the computer industry, including sales, technical support and service both in the Federal and Commercial markets. Mr. Patel is responsible for providing overall strategic leadership and general management of Summit. His key focus is new business development and developing strategic partnerships with technology vendors and service providers. Mr. Patel received an MBA in Finance and International Business and a BS in Accounting, and brings over 20+ years of progressive experience to Summit.
Christopher Calma is one of the original founders of Summit. Mr. Calma provides Summit and our clients technology guidance leveraging his 20+ years of progressive knowledge in systems architecture, design, database, and web development skills. Mr. Calma received a BS in Computer Science and Engineering and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). Prior to starting Summit, Chris consulted for several prominent Fortune 500 corporations.
Smita Poudrier received a Masters of Science in Taxation from the University of Hartford and a BS in Accounting from MIU. Ms. Poudrier completed her CPA requirements, working most recently at Ernst & Young prior to joining Summit. Ms. Poudrier and her staff handle all financial, accounting, payroll, and taxation aspects, including compliance and regulations with federal and state policies.
He began his career in the information technology (IT) services industry with EDS in 1975 as a member of the heralded Systems Engineering Development (SED) program. During his 13 year career at EDS, Doc served software development, project and program management and business development roles for clients in the commercial and government sectors in US and international settings. After leaving EDS in 1988, Doc has served in an executive role in either operations or business development in several small businesses including Sysorex Information Systems, AC Technologies, and Zolon Tech. For each of these firms, Doc led the companies’ initiatives to expand in the Federal IT services space. A US Coast Guard veteran, Doc attended NC State University and the University of North Carolina (Pembroke), where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in history and minor in mathematics. He and his wife, Andrea, have resided in Fairfax County since 1983.
