CMMI Level 2 Externally Appraised

In March 31, 2011, Summit was assessed at Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) Level 2. Implementation of CMMI processes results in defect-free products with repeatable processes for software development and project management. Summit currently follows CMMI Level 3 processes for software development for projects supporting FAA, DISA and the Birth to Three Insurance Billing System, and will be audited for a CMMI Level 3 in 2012. Using CMMI processes provides Summit with a method of tracking and identifying problems, correcting them and ensuring that corrections are implemented as part of follow-on efforts and work. CMMI gives our customers better results, better products and services, time efficiency and attention to budget and staffing requirements.

On August 2, 2010, Summit Technologies, Inc. was registered as a company that has developed, implemented and maintains a quality management system that conforms to the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008. The scope of the registration includes:
