On March 27, 2012, Summit was externally audited for ISO 20000-1:2005 and found to be compliant. The scope of the Stage 2 included Operations of the DISA Information Assurance Support Environment (IASE) which spanned the NIPRNet and SIPRNet. Service catalog items include: Systems Administration, Web Operations and Maintenance, Web Design and Development, Technical Support and Metrics Reporting.
On March 31, 2011, Summit was assessed at Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) Level 2. Implementation of CMMI processes results in defect-free products with repeatable processes for software development and project management. Summit currently follows CMMI Level 3 processes for software development for projects supporting FAA, DISA and the BPS Healthcare Insurance Billing System, and will be audited for a CMMI Level 3 in 2013. Using CMMI processes provides Summit with a method of tracking and identifying problems, correcting them and ensuring that corrections are implemented as part of follow-on efforts and work. CMMI gives our customers better results, better products and services, time efficiency and attention to budget and staffing requirements.
